The Digital City project is operating on the following principles:
- Connect the dots – break down the silos of the city – imagine how things CAN be
- Connect the on-line world to the real-world – produce live events and local projects
- All jobs of the future will require on-line skills, and intangible ‘independent’ business skills
- Help develop and support local community organization’s on-line efforts (sites, workspaces, knowledge bases, mail lists, social media)
- Use government and foundation money more efficiently than the status quo
- Help build a local open social platform with others participating and building on top of it
